Christie Valentin-Bati is a hybrid poet and photographer based in Chicago. She is trying to make poetry accessible to all ages as a teaching artist with Young Chicago Authors, 862 CHI, Hugo House, and as a Poet-In-Residence at Chicago Poetry Center.

She is also a professor of writing at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and Carthage College.
